Cheating Tuesday


Yuuuuuummmmmm!!!!!!  That was my kids response when they saw this box emerge from the shopping bag.  And that was my first clue that these would be like a “Sometimes Food” (thanks Elmo) in our house.  I know Special K Chocolatey Bars (Caramel) are Dietician Approved, which is great if you are looking for a treat that won’t send your blood glucose sky high (carbs. 15.7g), and according to my kids they are awesome, but I don’t think I will be carrying them around in my hypo kit,  which is what I use bought bars for, or serving them up as a quick breakfast option. Chocolate is not breakfast!

On the positive side, they were Yuuuuuummmmmmy!  They weren’t too sweet, and if I was looking for a convenient treat I think I would buy them again.  We actually used them on Saturday when we spontaneously decided to pack the kids up and go out for the day without planning any snacks to take with us, and everyone was happy.  And why wouldn’t they be, they’re chocolate and caramel.
