Ever wondered how to get that salad wrap in your lunch box from point A to point B without losing the contents you have so lovingly placed inside it? Â Me too, so I went looking for options to solve my dilemma, and I came up with paper serviettes, or napkins to some of you, and sticky-tape. Â With six children, we throw a lot of birthday parties, and lots of birthday parties means lots of left-over paper serviettes. Â I have been using them a bit lately to give the kids their weekend lunches and snacks, avoiding the endless stream of dishes that seem to pile up over the weekend. Â Yes, here in the world of Busy Mummy, we cheat!
Anyway, my girls love salad, which is easy if you are making sandwiches, but wraps are tricky. Â Not anymore, just take a quick look at my amateur photos on wrap-making.
Step 1. Â Spread your wrap with extra light cream cheese.
Step 2. Â Place your toppings down the centre of your wrap, Sushi Style, like so…….
Step 3.  Roll your wrap around your toppings  so your toppings are firmly held in place, but not too tightly or your wrap will break.
Step 4. Â Fold your serviette so it is a long rectangular shape (fold in half and then in thirds). Â Repeat with another serviette.
Step 5. Â Gently slide one serviette under each half of your wrap.
Step 6. Â Wrap your serviettes around your wrap and secure with sticky tape.
Step 7. Â Slice your wrap down the centre, giving you two halves, each held together by a serviette.
And there you have it, a Rainbow Wrap that hopefully won’t fall apart. Â At least, Â my girls tell me it won’t.
