Chocolate Money Bags

Chocolate Money Bags

Looking for a quick treat to make the kids these school holidays?  Why not try these little gems?  I found them at Mamabake.com and the kids were begging for me to make them again.  If you have boys, call them Chocolate Money Bags, and if you have girls, they can be Chocolate Fairy Pockets.  Great for your next party. You only need two ingredients, which is always a bonus and about half an hour at tops from pantry to table (or should I say freezer to table?).  Just grab yourself a couple of sheets of ready-made puff pastry from the freezer and a jar of  your favourite chocolate spread like Nutella (or the like)

Take a sharp knife and divide each sheet of pastry into nine squares of equal size, or there abouts, and place one teaspoon of chocolate spread in the centre of each square.

Grease your baking tray, then one by one, take each square of pastry and pull the sides up and pinch at the top to look like a money bag.  Place your tray in the oven at 180C to bake until golden brown.  Mine took about 15-20 minutes, but every oven is different.

And when they’re done, take them from the oven and set aside to cool for a little while so the kids don’t burn their mouths.  Then dig in!
